What its like to hire a Waymo Self Driving AI Taxi in San Francisco
We recently visited San Francisco and had the opportunity to try out the Waymo self driving taxi. Its really weird to sit in a car that drives itself, and the great thing is you don't have to Tip!

Thanks for these videos. Looks like you've done 3 parts in the learning Micro Python series. Have you considered doing more? These really cover the absolute basics and it would be really great to see s few more videos that jump into more intermediate & advanced topics. Things like interrupt handling (and +/-s vs polling), more sophisticated looping options, greater peeks into available libraries and when best to use them, differences and comparison between Micro Python and CircuitPyhon, etc.. Lots of different options for digging deeper that I think could help lots of makers. Hope you'll consider expanding this video line. Thanks.

I just ordered one of these. You have to be careful about the battery though. Some of the 18650 batteries have a protection circuit built in. It only adds a couple of mm but just enough that the battery will not fit into the Cutebot Pro. I have 3 18650 batteries that will not fit. I should have my shorter battery today. Previously, I would say the only robot to get for high school education would be the DFRobot Maqueen Plus V2. I might like this one better. The Maqueen has 3 IR line sensors across the front. (2 farther back) Cutebot Pro has 4 across the front. The reason I like the Maqueen is they can report the IR sensors as a gray scale (0 - 255). It looks like the Cutebot Pro can also do that. You need that to implement a PID control line following. At the high school level you want that extra challenge over bang-bang line following. In fact Cutebot Pro has an error function built in. It returns -3000 - 3000 depending on how far off the line the robot is. Cutebot Pro also has the motor encoders. This is huge. It opens up several interesting projects that can be done. And finally, Amazon has it in stock. It is so much easier for schools in the USA to get it because Amazon knows how to fill out the proper tax forms.

Hey I got one of these but was disappointed you can't use it with PyTorch or llm models or other models without some weird recompiling but they don't provide the full sdk. So if you wanna train something to find a squirrel for example, I don't see any way. In the mean time it's just a simple toy to run some of their demos. Unimpressive imo. I think the coral is better since it's easier to get it to help with tasks..

Great content - super helpful! This was working great for my Wemos D1 minis until I reset my laptop and downloaded the latest version of Thonny. This is fairly reliable with Thonny 4.0.0. When using 4.1.4 I got through the install and then the onboard led would blink rapidly and not stop. Thanks - been back to rewatch this video many times when something is not working exactly as I remember it.

Is it possible to use this technology to control a UAV so it can be autonomous without GPS? Maybe have it detect objects like buildings mountains lakes etc that it has seen a picture of prior? Where you can use identifiable objects as waypoints that you programmed in prior. I'm a total noob and wonder is there's a name for this idea so I can explore it further?

Thanks for the video. I got one of these kits and it is amazing when running the provided sample codes/apps. Pity to program something leveraging on this kit you need c++, the installation of the Hailo SDK and then it becomes very complicated for 99% of the people using a Pi. I would not recommend the AI Hailo kit for everyone. It is for developers with good knowledge of AI and c++. There is not a single video explains that, all video on UA-cam just try to market it, I have not found any tutorial explains how to modify or make a new app. At present, if yogurt one of these kits you will be on your own.

I don't think Alvik is worth 130€. It does have many features for a small package, but the price is just unfair. For just 80 dollars, you can get a robot that both drives faster, has block coding as well, has a camera mounted and is more open, meaning you can modify it easier, and learn more on the way.
